I always love every picture of polar bear and hopping I could make one someday, really nice eye contact, good POV, the pose showing us how most of time this animal so-called as strong swimmer, really sad to hear about his option, but I guess the "big land" (this what Inuit people word for sea) will still provide them with plenty of hunt or scavenging oportunity, TFS

Bonjour Jacob, excellent note! This bear is directly looking at you. Good idea that he decided not to come back. Very good shot. Congratulations!

They are many bad news concerning Polar Bears Jacob... I have seen some heartbreaking scenes in some documentary. Bears that died from drowning not being able to reach solid ground... I can't believe that we have gone that far... This is a precious capture, excellent picture that witness something that we might not see again in a near future... Sorry to be that pessimistic but this has unfortunately become a so sad reality. Thanks,

Prachtig sfeervol shot van deze ijsbeer. Hij is vast en zeker geschrokken van je enorme lens :)
Je ziet de beer inderdaad denken.

A marvellous, and with the climate problems to come, a precious shot of the Polar Bear. You are lucky to be able to see and photograph it.
Nice sharpness and composition and I like the way his head is turned to look at the people photographing him!
TFS and have a good week,

This is very nice, simple in composition photo. I like that it was taken in natural environment.
Simple and minimalistic but beautiful

I like how he is looking right at you Jacob. And I think he is swimming away from you too.

Excellent picture. You captured a unique expression on the bear's face. I looked at it several times and my imagination tells me that the bear is aware of the challenges to ecology and habitat; I see almost a sad expression on his face.
Regarding exposure, it would be nicer if you could make the ice whiter in color - closer to the actual color of ice, I hope. But, perhaps glacial ice is somewhat blue in color; I am not sure.

A nice shot on this swimming polar bear. Good exposure has given nice colors and sharp detail. They are in serious trouble with the warmer temps. and melting ice.

These guys can swim very well.Unfortunately for the polar bears they are drowning because the sea ice is further apart now.I love the look in the eye as this one spots you,but you get the feeling it doesn't really affect his swim too much, you are just an object to keep in mind.Lovely low POV and excellent sharp details.TFS
