For the readers who do not have knowledge on the conformation of the bees, I present notes here on the same one.

The bee is an insect and as so its body divides in three characteristic regions or somas to all the insects, these are: Head, Thorax and Abdomen.

In the head we found the eyes (1 pair), the antennas (1 pair) and the buccal apparatus.
Eyes: These have different functions in each one from the inhabitants of the beehive (lazy: to recognize the queen for the fertilization; workers: to distinguish the plants to gather the nectar and they polen).
Antennas: In these the organs responsible for the sense of smell are located, tact and ear. Buccal apparatus: It is fundamental in the nectar harvesting.

In the thorax we found the appendices or legs and two pairs of wings locomotive.
Legs: They are 3 pairs, they have motor functions and of cleaning. Single the workers have corbculas, who are, in his third pair of legs, organs that take part in the transport of polen.
Wings: They also act as in the flight and in the ventilation of the colony. Also they produce hummings that constitute one of their ways of communication.

In the abdomen we found the totality of the main organs of the bee, in addition to the so characteristic sting in this insect.
Sting: It has defense functions, he is smooth in the queen and teethed in the workers, the drones do not have sting.

Also the bee has hair with diverse functions in different parts from its body. In the head and it leaves from the thorax these hairs collaborate in the harvesting of polen. In the antennas they have sensitive functions specifically.
In the tracheas they prevent that they pass substances along with strange the breathed air.

Very good macro Ricardo.
Good details and nice colours.
Very good and informative note.
Very well done.

Ricardo, Good macro of this pollen-laden Bee. My eye is drawn to this first. Don't think I've ever seen this much pollen on a Bee,this close before! Great note. Thanks!

Very good macro shot Ricardo. The bee has a full load. I don't think I have ever seen one this loaded as well. Great work. Thanx for sharing.

Great shot showing some very nice details about the way the bee is bringing pollen back home. Excellent dof and sharpness with lots of details in the bee. Yes, she really got her pockets filled up and still there is pollen all over her body. Very informative note too.

My my, his saddlebags are packed out. Excellent picture, the detail is exceptional. I do wonder if a little more headroom would work better?

Excellent macro shot, Ricardo. One can clearly see the pollen-loaded legs. Excellent!!!

Excelente e instructiva fotografa Ricardo, me ha encantado verla. Nunca habia visto uan abeja tan cargada. Has ajustado muy bien la luz para destacar lo mas importante de esta foto, el detalle de la carga. Felicidades. Por cierto, mi ingles es bastante malo, pero el de babel fish es pat騁ico :)
