Hello friends, a new photo of the Ring-billed Gull flying
over autumn leaves, photo taken on October 28, 2017.
1/4000s f/5.6 ISO1600 85mm (35mm eq:127mm).

ツォ Migrating Ring-billed Gulls apparently use a built-in compass
to navigate. When tested at only two days of age, chicks showed
a preference for magnetic bearings that would take them in the
appropriate direction for their fall migration. The gulls also rely
on landmarks and high-altitude winds to provide directional cues. ツサ
Merci.

Hi Asbed,
I'm so happy to get the honour to write the first comment to this fantastic photo. Perfect shutter speed (as expected from an experienced bird photographer like you) to freeze the flight, excellent sharpness, and the compo's second to none with the bright yellow leafs in the background. Absolutely stunning image, hats off for you!
Kind regards from Ireland, Lテ。szlテウ
