This looks really barren but the simplicity of this shot is most appealing and the colours are really beautiful. Excellent depth of focus and a very nice composition.

what a fine combination of colours is presented here in this picture. The light seems somewhat surreal. What I find striking is the brown/yellowish winter colour of the vegetation.

Another interesting composition Stephen... I'm curious about the bareness of this landscape. Was this area never treed or was it over-harvested long ago? It does provide interesting shapes and colors to work with photographically.
