Closterotomus norvegicus (Gmelin, 1790)[1]
Heteroptera: Miridae
Common name: potato capsid

Closteroromus norvegicus is a very common mirid in Crete. It can be found feeding on nettle, clover, and cannabis, as well as Compositae, potatoes, carrots and chrysanthemums. Here it feeds on flowers of Chrysanthemum sagetum. It can also atack some crops as potatoes, peach and strawberries.
It overwintered as egg inserted on 2nd or 1rst year shoots. They hatche in April and feed on new foliage or pollen of flowers.
