One of the staff members staying at the bush lodge called me to come and see this strange and wonderfull insect. As you can see, the moth looks like a burnt leaf and needless to say it took me a while to actually find it. Nature is just incredible. The camouflage of this moth is just perfect.

Hello Andre, it took quite a while to find an ID for this amazing moth and some more time to find this picture again @TN yet it's better late than never I believe. The name is Mittonia hampsoni (Distant, 1897) (Pyralidae, Pyralinae). It was initially described in the genus Macna (Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist. 20: 17) but later assigned to his new genus Mittonia by Whalley (1964, Journal of the East Africa Natural History Society 24 (5 (109)): 47-52)
